Custom Commissions
Created Slowly, Just for You
Each Selah Revival piece is created through a quiet collaboration between light, nature, and hand.
Many commissions begin with something meaningful - wedding florals, heirloom linens, a beloved garment, or a simple idea you’d like to see transformed through cyanotype.
Because this process relies on sunlight, natural materials, and time, every piece unfolds a little differently. I prayerfully approach each commission with care and creative freedom, trusting the process as the work reveals itself.
Each piece is one of a kind.
What Can Be Customized
Cyanotype can be created on a variety of natural textiles and papers. You can provide the item you would like customized or you can choose from studio items. Common commission pieces offered from the studio include:
→ Silk scarves
→ Silk bandanas
→ Cotton bandanas
→ Bread bags
→ Dish towels
→ Cotton or linen napkins (set of 2)
→ Baby onesies (0–3, 3–6, 6–12, 12–18)
→ Notecards with envelopes (set of 4)
→ Table runners
→ Original botanical prints (various sizes)
Most natural fibers can often be incorporated as well. If you have something special in mind, you’re welcome to ask.
A Collaboration with Light
Cyanotype is a historic photographic process that uses sunlight to create its signature deep blue.
Botanicals are arranged by hand on paper or fabric coated with a light-sensitive solution. The sun develops the image, and water reveals the final print.
Why Every Piece Is Unique
Cyanotype responds to light, season, humidity, and the natural form of each botanical.
Because of this, no two prints are ever identical. As this is a collaboration with light and nature, I ask for trust in the process, knowing that it isn’t going to always turn out exactly as planned. Subtle variations are part of the beauty of the craft and a quiet mark of something made by hand.
Begin a Commission
If you’re interested in a custom piece, I would love to hear what you’re envisioning.
Share a few details through the inquiry form - the item, materials, or botanicals you may want included, and I’ll be in touch to continue the conversation.
Each commission begins with a simple exchange and unfolds from there.
